Villa V, 2024-2025,
Barcelona, ES
Rejecting the tabula rasa, the project emerges from constraint and inquiry— crafting a poetic interplay between existing and new structures, where spatial transformation, material continuity, and the memory of place converge to articulate a site-specific architectural narrative.
Villa V becomes a testing ground for alternative aesthetic imaginaries—an inhabited ruin in permanent transition. Through the use of provisional materials, exposed construction elements, and evolving spatial configurations, the intervention produces a living architecture that resists finalisation. In doing so, it enacts Becoming Circular not as a closed loop, but as an open-ended system of spatial regeneration, where history, materiality, and program adaptively shape one another in time.
